But what about relationships?
Don’t get us wrong, everything we listed above should be birthed out of a desire to build relationships with new, current or idle donors – they aren’t just projects on your Trello board to get to the satisfaction of checking “Complete” – although that does feel amazing! In fact, we passionately believe that all communication should be relational!
Relationships.
What intentional relational meetings are on your calendar over the next eight weeks to be face to face with your donors? Why eight weeks – because relationships with donors don’t stop at midnight on 12/31 – close the loop on each of those meetings (and even those that didn’t happen) – by thanking them and sharing stories of impact at the beginning of the year.
Executive Directors. Development Directors.
It’s not too late. Don’t spend the next eight weeks behind your desk or “in meetings” – schedule time with your donors – thank them – listen well to their passion and how it intersects the mission of your organization – spend less time sharing about your passion – but be ready to ask them to consider how they might invest in doing good together through the organization you both love!
Start today. Finish the year well.
At IMMIIX we believe in the power of generosity to change lives and communities. If you want assistance with taking your development program to the next level – or starting your development program – please reach out to us at any time. We would love to hear your story, share in your passion, and of course, do good together!
